We at Abofra Foundation have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As early In February 2020, the coronavirus crisis disrupted our learning process, putting on hold Computer Afternoon School (CAS) Project & Abofra Art Project.
Most of our students, moved to the village with their parents, because their parent could no more work for economic gains. Staying in the village was the only choice, native Ghanaians live in an extended family culture. So one could sometimes depend on the other for food and water.
Before the advent of the COVID-19, we were preparing to get laptops from some wonderful donors, if it was successful, our kids could have still be productive by learning online since one on one meeting is prohibited by the Government of Ghana.
Currently, we are actively focused on online activities such as raising funds and having pragmatic consultations with volunteers for the best way forward.
